I bought these for my My Super Mario Boy's Mario themed bedroom and they are such a lovely touch. The Super Mario tins are really good quality and look fantastic -they are quite small and very cute. The question mark block tin contains tiny yellow coin shaped sweeties, the invincible star tin contains tiny candy stars, the power-up mushroom contains little mushroom shaped sweeties, and the Mario face tin contains some weird red pellets that actually taste like disclosing tablets - oh well! You can purchase them from Amazon for about £12.95.

My Super Mario Birthday Party

For my son's 4th Birthday party he obviously chose to have a Mario themed birthday party. We hired a hall, created some Mario themed party games like "Yoshi Egg and Spoon Race", "Squash the Goombas", "Throw the balls in the Piranha Pots", "Knock down the Mario blocks" and "Pin the mustache on Mario". It was just like an old fashioned village fete! I bought all of the Mario themed decorations and tableware from Tesco Party, and made everything else.

Mario Downloadable Printable Block Templates

I made these printable Super Mario 3D World block templates for my son's birthday party. They look fantastic, and he still plays with them years later, even if they are a bit squashed! The thicker the card you can fit in your printer, the better. Alternatively, for longer lasting blocks, print onto plain photo paper, then stick the template onto thicker card using spray adhesive, cut out, score along the lines, fold & glue the tabs down. You can get them from Amazon for just £1.85, an excellent little stocking filler. These are also a great activity to have at a party. Just station a grownup in a corner with tattoos and a wet sponge and away they go.
